Our engaging activities
Explore the diverse range of academic, educational, and public activities Almagest organizes and participates in, fostering a deeper understanding of science and technology.

Showcasing our main project: Naučna učionica
Almagest regularly organizes and participates in academic, educational, and public activities within the fields of history, sociology, and philosophy of science and technology. Our primary focus is to present our projects, while also creating space for future sections such as conferences, roundtables, workshops, public lectures, and educational programs.
Currently, our main activity is the "Naučna učionica" (Science Classroom) project. This page is designed to showcase each project with its name, a brief description, a detailed project overview, objectives, results, project team, participants, partners, funders, duration, location, a photo gallery, documents, and relevant links. The structure is flexible, allowing us to easily add new projects and other types of activities in the future.

Valuable connections for all
These activities are crucial because they connect academic research, education, institutional collaboration, and public understanding of science and technology. For Almagest members, they provide an opportunity to develop projects, present their work, gain greater visibility, collaborate with other young researchers, and participate in programs with academic, educational, and public significance.
For partners, Almagest offers a focused scientific and educational framework for activities related to the history, sociology, and philosophy of science and technology. Our projects can connect scientific institutions, cultural organizations, schools, researchers, and the wider public through lectures, workshops, exhibitions, discussions, and other forms of knowledge exchange.
For the public, these activities make science and technology more understandable, historically grounded, and socially relevant. They demonstrate that science is not just a collection of facts, but also a human, historical, cultural, and philosophical practice.

Engaging our community
Through these activities, we aim to reach several interconnected groups. First and foremost, we address current and future Almagest members: doctoral students, early-career researchers, and PhDs in their first years of research in the history, sociology, and philosophy of science and technology, as well as related fields.
We also seek to include researchers, teachers, students, cultural and scientific workers, educational institutions, museums, institutes, faculties, and organizations interested in collaborating on programs that connect science, technology, history, society, and philosophy.
An important audience for Almagest is the wider public: pupils, students, teachers, science enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to understand science and technology not just as a set of facts, but as part of history, culture, society, and public life.
